DSI 029; “Wooden Feedback - Nine boards” is an audio feedback composition by Stockholm based artist Jordana Loeb. With a background in printmaking, woodcarving and dance, Loeb’s work naturally gravitates toward manifesting motion in static, yet vibrant forms.
In “Nine boards” – a collaboration with composer Anders af Klintberg and the most elaborate installation of Loeb’s sonic sculptural performances to date – nine carved wooden sculptures form a self-generating feedback loop. Through transducers, contact microphones and measured movements Jordana Loeb urges wood into song.
Released as a limited edition cassette with hand numbered cover featuring printed woodcarving and photos.
